What is raw honey?

Raw honey is just like any other honey, except it hasn't been processed or heated. This type of honey is unique because it contains all the beneficial nutrients, enzymes, and antimicrobial properties that have not yet been compromised by heat.

Raw honey often looks thicker than regular commercialized types of honey due to its natural state - it's never filtered or refinery processed before being put in the jar you buy! You'll find a range of colors ranging from light yellow to dark amber in raw honey depending on where it originated from.

You might find yourself asking, "Where does raw honey come from?" While the answer may seem rather simple and straightforward, there is actually quite a bit to unpack when it comes to this sweet liquid gold! Raw honey is made by honeybees that have collected nectar from flowers. The nectar is then stored in the bees' stomachs until they return to their hive where worker bees take over and evaporate away most of the water content by fanning their wings over it. This makes so-called “raw” or “unprocessed” honey which contains traces of pollen and wax that was found in the original flower. As a result, raw honey is not only richer in flavor – ranging from floral to earthy, but is also packed with beneficial vitamins and enzymes. For example, raw honey contains proteins (amino acids), vitamins B2 & B3, magnesium, and calcium—all known for aiding digestion while providing an energy boost!

In addition to all its health benefits, raw honey has an indefinite shelf life due to its naturally high sugar concentration meaning you can store up your supplies of this liquid gold for those dark winter days when you need a little extra sweetness!
